Factors affecting mortality

Write any five factors which affect the mortality rate and describe any one of them.

The five factors which affect the mortality rate are: -

• Illiteracy
• Disease
• Poverty
• Natural calamities
• Lack of health services

Diseases:

Diseases are one of the chief causes of mortality. Many people are generally dying of many diseases. They are dying of communicable diseases (e.g. cholera, pneumonia, meningitis, etc.), fatal diseases (e.g. AIDS, Hepatitis B, and C) and many other non-communicable diseases (e.g. Diabetes, cancer, asthma, etc.)
