Marriage and its major types

Marriage is the formal union of a man and a woman, typically as recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife. The types of marriage are: -

• Arrange marriage: This marriage is settled by parents or relatives of the boy and girl and is performed according to the religious and traditional customs.
• Love marriage: Marriage with the understanding and consent between a mature boy and girl.
• Court marriage: According to the law, legally mature boy and girl apply to the officer concerned for their marriages at court.
