World Environment Day: June 5

The existence of a man who was originated from and is dissolved in the soil, the life of the human being swollen around the air and the water is the grace and kindness of nature. Although human today is comparable to clothes, money, earnings or relationships based on relationships, the initial appearance of man is only possible by nature's grace.

On 16 June 1972, the United Nations organized a World Environment Conference. International unity has been achieved in order to raise political and social awareness around the world for the protection of the environment from the conference. In the second year of the conference for the institutionalization of this day, i.e., in the year 1973, June 5 has been marked as the International Environment Day for an international observation day.

Whether we live in the palace or in a bunch, staying in America or in Antarctica, we are inferior to breathing, earthen soil, and water resources that we can absorb, and the fragments of our sky overhead. Let us discuss something by focusing on the environment. Environment Day is observed every year on June 5. Usually, the atmosphere of the wind, the cover of the wind, can be considered as a cover of the surrounding around us. Eating food, drinking water, breathing air, and many other things are environmentally presented gifts of nature.

The most important thing is that we never pay for consuming natural resources. We have no rights to claim natural resources. They were bestowed for free and for all beings. The greatest mistake we do is that we think natural resources are for humans but the fact is that we are also natural resources and therefore, all the resources on this planet have equal rights. It is all correct when a carnivorous consumes a human. If it is is not correct, then humans consuming all other beings is also incorrect.

Since the industrial revolution was initiated from England and urbanization and till now, we humans have created a huge burden on this planet. We have destroyed the ecosystem, created imbalance in the environment, caused pollution, rose the temperature, rose global warming, melted the snow, depleted the protective Ozone, changed the climate, killed the fauna, destroyed the flora, misused the resources, depleted the mines, sank the Islands, invented diseases and invited numerous other catastrophes.

Due to this inhuman acts on the environment, all the living beings including humans are in the verge of extinction. The originality and beauty of nature have fallen. Therefore, to mark the importance of environment conservation, World Environment Day is celebrated all over the globe.

Investing billions of dollars in search of another planet is not ethical while that amount should have been invested for the conservation of the environment. Greenery is our ultimate need. While our home is dull, we decorate it, don't we? It is not wise to get another home for such a reason. Similarly, it is unwise to spend billions in search of another planet for settlement instead of investing it to decorate this beautiful planet. So, to highlight this concept, we celebrate World Environment Day every year.

The conference held under the Maldivian ocean and over the Sagarmatha base camp highlight that we are on the verge of sinking while all the snow melts and swipes us. Environment degradation has a multiplier and expansion effect. The pollution caused by a country also affects the other non polluting one. So, the whole world must be conscious of the conservation of our planet Earth. World Environment Day is also celebrated to remind this consciousness.

World Environment Day is celebrated by organizing various programs in the world. Institutions and individuals carry out plantation programs, sanitation campaigns and awareness activities all around their access. Media also highlights the necessity of nature conservation. Students are taught about the consequences of environmental degradation. The main thing is to teach future generations is the greatness and importance of nature.

We must be wise enough to utilize the available limited resources in an optimum manner. The resource should be used to meet the needs and not for business. Concept of reuse and recycle should be implemented. Earth is not the dump yard but our only home. Eco-friendly energies like Wind energy, Solar energy, Geothermal, Biogas, Tidal energy, etc should be used instead of non-renewable ones.

We are living and might have lived our lives, let others live too.

Seven billion dreams, One planet, Consume with care!

Happy Environment Day!
